I live in Saigon, South Vietnam. I am the only HOH in a family of 5. I was born hearing till I was 5 years old when I got a very bad fever which damaged my both ears badly.

Although it was very hard for me to study at schools for the hearing (there was no school for the deaf & HOH then), I managed to finish university about biotechnology in 2005.

Then I had to face with the difficulty of finding a job because people are not patient enough with my HOH. I continued to study graphic and designing on computer to hope to find a job more easily. I did many jobs such as delivering advertisement leaflets to passengers, storing data on computer for a company, designing houses on computer for another company etc. But I did not enjoy the job because I could not do them well due to my HOH.

Recently I found a job at a travel company which I like it very much because it gives me chance to travel and work with deaf people. My company arranges tours in Vietnam for the deaf and HOH in IS (international sign) and ASL by Vietnamese deaf guides.

By doing these tours, we hope to arrange safe and enjoyable tours for international deaf travelers and to offer jobs to Vietnamese deaf people. Our tours focus on pleasing the deaf people’s strong senses of sight, taste and feeling, including beautiful visual sites, interesting shows and rides; offering delicious Vietnamese food and specialties, special treatments of massage and mud bath, visits to working places and schools of Vietnamese deaf people or disable people.

Now let me introduce some pics about Vietnam and my deaf-guide group.

I would like to invite you all to join our tours in Vietnam.
